LOVE LANGUAGES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY WORKSHOP
THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES FOR THE FAMILY IS PART OF OUR “SIGNATURE SERIES”
This workshop was inspired and designed from the popular bestselling book, The Five Love Languages For Children, by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell.
Genesis Counseling & Consulting, Inc. located in Boca Raton, Florida specializes in working with families that have recently gone through a major life transition, such as divorce or remarriage. This workshop will allow you to identify how everyone in the family hears love through their primary love language, and to understand how your love tank is filled.
As Gary Chapman states in The Five Love Languages for Children, “Our children at times speak a language we may not, at first, fully understand. And they don’t always understand what we say. But of all the ways we misunderstand one another, perhaps the most harmful is to not properly communicate love to our children. Can you speak – and do you speak – your child’s love language?”
All of us have a primary love language, how we understand and receive love best. When our “emotional love tanks” are full, it is easier for us to react and respond to things, we are more receptive to others, more understanding, and have more strength to manage life’s challenges. It is also important to make sure we are filling the love tanks of our loved one’s with unconditional love. Unconditional love is a full love that accepts and affirms others for who they are and not for what they do, showing love to others, no matter what.
The Five Love Languages are: Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Gifts and Acts of Service. Through this workshop, we will explore the following topics:
- Understanding each of the 5 Love Languages
- How to determine your love language and that of your children
- Discipline and Love Languages
- Learning and Love Languages
- Love Languages Through Divorce and Remarriage
