Ann McLemore, LCSW
Ann McLemore, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who partners with Genesis Counseling & Consulting, Inc. in Boca Raton, Florida where they specialize in working with families that have recently gone through major life transitions, such as divorce or remarriage. Ann partners with Genesis Counseling & Consulting, Inc. to provide workshops and specialized counseling for those who are struggling with grief and loss. Ann completed her Masters of Social Work degree at Florida State University in 2010 and obtained her licensure as an LCSW in 2013. Her clinical training and experience has allowed he to see the benefits of integrating the mind and body, which gives individuals the opportunity to heal wholeheartedly. Some of Ann’s experience includes; in-home family counseling, crisis intervention, family behavioral coaching, disaster response, school-based therapist and grief counseling. She has worked with families that suffer with depression, divorce, parenting issues and childhood behavioral issues. In 2011, Ann worked with the Red Cross in their Disaster Response Team, where she was responsible for working with people living through major life transitions and traumas. Currently Ann serves as the Program Coordinator, working with children and families experiencing bereavement due to the death of a loved one. The primary issues these families present with are sadness, anxiety, anger, academic issues, behavioral concerns and family discord. Ann’s experience with grief and family counseling allows her to see the grief process people are experiencing and allows them to heal in a natural and supportive manner. Her goal is to empower the family through education and counseling, in order to allow them to become stronger and be able to support each other more effectively as new stressors and transitions come in the future.
